The Days of the One Page Resume Are Over
Is one-page still the optimal length? And if someone can't get everything they want to include in one page, what is the absolute longest a resume should be?
The truth is, the one-page resume rule is outdated. While brevity is still important, what matters most is relevance and impact. If you have substantial experience and accomplishments that are relevant to the position you're applying for, don't artificially constrain yourself to one page.
That said, every line on your resume should earn its place. Focus on achievements and results rather than just listing responsibilities. Use your judgment: early career professionals might stick to one page, while seasoned executives with 15+ years of experience might need two or even three pages to properly showcase their impact.
